On Sunday, March 20th, Our Savior's Lutheran celebrated Palm Sunday with a live donkey processional. The congregation convened on Diagonal Street, which was closed for the occasion. The opening liturgy was done there and then the donkey led the marchers around the block and back into the church for the opening hymn. Thank you to Jim and Lila Sime for lending us their donkey, Eyore, and their granddaughter, Taylor, for leading him. We also thank Rande Gustafson and Barb Scottston for transporting the donkey from rural Ferryville to the church to make our celebration of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem especially meaningful. Below are pictures (thank you to Kristie Kamm and Susan Cantine-Maxson for providing them).
