FIRST COMMUNION, BIBLES & NEW MEMBERS

We received 18 new members on Christ the King Sunday, November 23rd. We are delighted to welcome this wonderful group to our congregation.

We also welcomed 5 children to the Lord's Table to the first time. They have each completed a course of instruction with their parents and have created a poster showing their excitement for the event.

The First Communion students were given their own Spark Bibles. Ashlyn and Izzy smile with theirs in the picture below. The confirmation students were given Connect Bibles. 

A reception followed the event with a cake made by Carol Schaefer. What a wonderful celebration of Christ the King Sunday!

BAPTISM OF PAXTON GRANT ST. MARY & RECEPTION OF NEW MEMBERS

On Sunday, May 25th, Paxton Grant St. Mary was baptized. He is the son of Amanda Romie and Tyler St. Mary and the little brother of Austin. We welcome him into the Lord's family!

We also received a group of new members that day, which include Tyler St. Mary, Amanda Romie and their boys Austin and Paxton; Barb Scottston and Randy "Gus" Gustafson; Samantha Rosas and Brian Creasman and their daughter, Nayelly; Chuck and Barb Weipert and their boys Austin and Adrian; Andrea Vinson and her girls Megan, Macy and Gracie. A reception was held following the service to celebrate the reception of these new members.

NEW MEMBER & ANNUAL MEETING

On Sunday, January 30th, Our Savor's Lutheran welcomed new member, Shelley Peterson and presented her with a bouquet of flowers. She is pictured above with Pastor Laura.

The church's annual meeting and a potluck lunch were held following the service.

NEW MEMBERS SUNDAY

Our Savior's received 11 new members and installed their new worship musician, Tom Bourcier, on Transfiguration Sunday, February 22, 2009. We also celebrated Hory Magnusson's 90th birthday.

And we introduced a new exciting feature in worship: greeter girls. Alanna Pleasants and Elisha Gage pictured above to the right wore "greeter girl" T-shirts (made by Pastor) and enthusiastically welcomed worshipers as they arrived. We're planning to get some greeter guys in on the action soon too. It is so nice to get to worship and be met by smiling faces. Way to go, greeter girls!
